Hi again all,

after not sorting out my section 50 to mole a pipe under my road for too long, I have finally printed off the application form, all seems pretty straightforward except they are asking for a "certificate of title" , which looks to me like it needs to be signed by a solicitor.

does anyone know roughly how much this would cost? and does it have to be the same firm that we used when I bought the barn off of my father??

TIA Ed

Just now, Onoff said:

Paid it off? FFS I've got THREE!

lifes savings and an endowment,

£25k for the barn (full market value at the time)

iv now got a 20k personal loan which might get it finished but that also might go up a bit before the end,

it helps that Faye is fantastic with money,

me..... not so fantastic :D

If the applicant is the owner of the property, proof of ownership of the property is required, by completing the ‘Certificate of Title’

or sending official copies from the Land Registry.

and the link OneOff  posted says..

Instead of an official copy of a title plan,

you may request a Certificate of Title in Form CI

Hmm maybe I should have read it a little more. As soon as they start with legal jargon I quickly loose interest.

Luckily I rang them this morning and they said to just pop in. All done now and they didn’t charge me, ? it helped that their office was only a few doors down from where I was eating breakfast.
