nod
We’ve decided on a instant hot water tap Easy go out and buy one No chance there are loads Some cheap some exspensive Im guessing they are one of those things that you find it’s short Cummings after you have bought it Anyone have any recommendations We don’t need all singing all dancing Just a decent quality tap and tank at a reasonable price
Bitpipe
We have a Quooker Nordic - been going strong for 18 months and only had to descale it for the first time this weekend. Customer service is pretty good, they send you a free descale kit on request.
jack
Check whether what you're looking at actually delivers "boiling" water. Some apparently only deliver a lower temperature.
Bitpipe
Grohe came out with their Red range after we'd committed to the Quooker. Both are similarly priced from memory, not cheap but the quality is good. Interesting how dependent you become - we've never had a kettle since moving in and while I was servicing the Quooker had to boil water in a pan for tea. jack
We had a glitch with ours around the two year mark. We had great service from Quooker - they sent out an engineer who replaced several parts at no cost. However, for the time we didn't have it, we were completely lost. Who knew that having to figure out how much water you need, and then waiting for it to boil could be so bloody infuriating! If I were building another house, a hot water tap would be at or near the top of the list of things I'd specify.
richi
I got a Stiebel Eltron DHC8 -- not a boiling-water tap, but it's tankless.
