3 port valves, what to buy?

I am buying kit to connect my ASHP up and need a three port 22mm valve, I am amazed at price differences, £22 -£100. What are people’s advice?, are the cheap ones not worth bothering with or are the dear ones money for old rope?. Any recommendations welcome.

There is a welsh plumber around these parts that told me to stick with Honeywell.

You'll loose any saving in labour costs and hassle if one fails.

Cheapest source I found for mine (albeit 2 port) was JTM.

Thanks “Barney”, just looked at the three ports and they have two, one at £73 and one at £63, both Honeywell but different item numbers but no indication what the difference is between them. Any pointers?

One will be a mid position and the other a diverter. You'll need the diverter, eg heating OR hot water, with the former being able to sit in the mid position and give both simultaneously . 

An ASHP can't do both together as each has a specific flow temp.
