Woodgnome Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 (edited) Do people insure the VAT reclaim paperwork when posting? I'm nearly ready to send mine and i think Jeremy said he insured his? Just wondering if i can get insurance for a package potentially worth about £25K. Guessing recorded delivery is the way to go? Thanks. Edited February 27, 2018 by Woodgnome Typo
Declan52 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I scanned every page that I filled in plus all the different receipts and then sent it recorded delivery.

That's what we did for the first submission and same again for the follow-up appeal documents. They sent all the originals back by recorded delivery, with their decision letter. HMRC did send a letter of confirmation of receipt for the first with a timeline for making a decision. I don't think they did this for the follow-up submission but I did ring the Contact No and they were helpful in confirming that they had received it and also to give a timeline for response.
Declan52 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I was on a sweat big time for a few days logging in and checking on the post office web site where it was. Was glad to see if finally delivered. I also got a similar letter.
