Apparently I need a "Ventilation Commissioning Certificate". Though if you have passive ventilation this is not required?

I detest having to fork out for testing and commissioning, especially when the requirements are so basic. It seems to me that BC only exist to create jobs and empty my pockets!

Does anyone know if I can do this myself? Either that or have a form I can plagiarise?

There are many on here who have done it themselves - so yes you can. This is one of the certs you can understand the need for because you don't want to asphyxiate anyone. You air tightness certificate will be a help in getting started as it will show how leaky, or otherwise, your place is when sealed up as tight as it can be. You can then go from there.

Yes you can do your but only if you have certified test equipment - the certificate needs to in date and copy supplied to BC

It's not expensive, it all part of the cost of building.

@GaryChaplin I made this form up, plagarised a bit from @Jeremy Harris. Did the commisioning myself with the help of @Adrian Walker Filled in my name where a name was required, sent it of to my BCO and never heard a word.

We had a fun day commissioning, but it's not something you can't rush.

@Adrian Walker it was a fun day and as you say, it took time, which is one thing a professional may not have, or if they do, may not be arsed to invest it correctly.

Any of the figures can be plucked out of thin air in order to expedite the operation, absolutely no one will check.
