When resealing baths with silicone, do you remove the screen or leave screen and join new to old?

Remove as much as possible and try to get back to the order of assembly to make the best job.

Reseal while the bath is full of water.

(Any downward movement of the bath will open the joins, and you avoid the sealant being put under tension whenever someone gets in the bath.)
