Caroline Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Hi Folks Building control has asked for this. I sent them a photo of the new treatment plant which replaced the old building that was demolished and replaced with new building and sent them the manufactures specification of the water treatment plant, but think they want something, but not sure what it is. Can anyone help please? We are waiting for our final BC inspection. Thank you.
Mr Punter Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Go back to the supplier/installer and ask for this. It could be a tag or EN number. 1
JohnMo Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Is this new potable water or waste water treatment. What does Document H actually say you need? If doesn't ask for anything tell them it doesn't.

Hopefully, all will be well, I just don't think BC make it easy for self builders. Probably okay for those who have project managers/architects to hand!
Gone West Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago @Caroline Is it to do with this bit of Part H. (3) Where a foul water drainage system from a building discharges to a septic tank, wastewater treatment system or cesspool, a durable notice shall be affixed in a suitable place in the building containing information on any continuing maintenance required to avoid risks to health. 1
saveasteading Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago If I remember properly, I read it that I would put a notice up in a suitable place , such as in a services zone, so that any future owner or maintenance orsin would have it explained. Ie just an explanation of the system. More formally it would also be in a maintenance manual, but that would get lost.
