Why would 1 and 3 be the wrong way around? Just check mine, not the same make but exactly the same terminal positions.  Only difference between different units is if they are configured to be left or right handed, but then 2 and 4 and 1 and 3 swop positions.

And what is it with their multiple brand/product names

Maybe different brands for different countries, or selling you the same thing at different price points via another name

Oh I see now:

That's meant to be a little house, so it doesn't mean the flow is in the direction of the arrow (no, sirree) it means the flow is into the house. The flow is actually the opposite direction in the pipe. That's clear then 😁.

I got done like a kipper fitting one a couple of weeks back lol. Was looking at the symbols from the back of the unit and my poor little brain didn't allow me to mirror it.

An hour or so of swearing and looking like a tit in front of the client, and all good.

Noticed just after I had finished fitting the self adhesive neoprene insulation to it...ffs. 🥲😭🥲

Yeah it's a bit confusing! Easy to read them as directional, which they're not. Just imagine the main unit in the loft of the little house, and it makes a bit more sense.

Regarding brands, they're also sold in Germany by Wolf (also owned by Ariston) as the CWL-2. Knowing the various names helps when comparing prices on filters etc!

Well I'm glad it's not just us DIYers who have to think carefully about it! :D

BTW this is what Google AI thinks:

"The Brink Flair (manufactured by Brink Climate Systems) and the Ubbink Ubiflux Vigor are deeply related, highly efficient MVHR units. Ubbink and Brink share technology and components in the European ventilation market, meaning the Vigor and Flair series share very similar internal designs, constant-flow control systems, and matching filter/maintenance profiles, though they are branded and distributed through separate channels.

The Flair series is the flagship line from Brink Climate Systems, whereas the Vigor range is marketed directly under Ubbink's Ubiflux brand."

Are they the same? Maybe or maybe not.

FYI I called Ubbink UK and the salesperson said the Brink / Vigor units are exactly the same except for the branding. It suggests to me that a bunch of sellers in the UK are grey importing from Europe.
