LED Lighting in 2 door kitchen pantry unit

We want to add lighting into a kitchen pantry unit that has two concertina doors. The plan is to add two vertical led tape in diffusers internally, either side of the doors.

 

If we had a trigger switch, that turns lighting on when the doors are opened we would need two - one for each door. 

Does this mean we would need two lighting circuits because there would be two switches?

 

The other thought would be to be a sensor at the back of the unit that triggers the lights to come on. Some sensors have timers built in too, so they don't flicker on and off if you move away slightly.

 

Any guidance on what might work best would be great.  Would also welcome advice from anyone who has done something similar.

As if by shear coincidence, the exact thing you need, has been invented and in daily use and they only costs about 80p. Many would say that is too simple and they need complex, with sensors and timers and may be something like home assistant or Luxome to control it all. But many house holds have managed to use light switches, quite intuitively and your normal electrician can fix them or replace with ease. But are unlikely to go wrong in a life time.

I use a little PIR sensor connected to an led driver and then an led for at the top of my stairs. Only activates in darkness so comes on if I need to go to the loo at night, otherwise it just stays off.

It's a usb-rechargeable mini led strip that gives out a ton of light and the sensor works well (not perfectly, but well). I have one for the cupboard under the stairs and it is perfect for that
