Some of the switches say this under details ... ''UV Stimulated Glow In The Dark PIP''

So may be they don't light up, just give a flourescent glow in the dark look ?

I am looking for some nice retractive switches myself - so if you have any other suggestions to look at will be much appreciated.

(PS If using for 24V LED strip, is it better to have the switch in front of the transformer, or use a smart/virtual switch)

We are doing loxone so all switches are wired back to digital inputs. All led strip power fed centrally as well, no local transformers.

currently looking at these light switches for some of our non loxone touch switches:

does anyone know if the little white led looking indicator works when the switch is fed with 24v?

We have some retrotouch switches and I don’t recall seeing the led light up.
tbh I also can’t remember how I wired them up!
they’re nice though albeit a bit clicky but I’ve yet to find a quiet retractive switch.

I’m not 100% convinced they are LEDs, it’s really hard to tell. When I look close they look like solid plastic decorative bits. But as Spinny says on the website on other ranges retouch describe  them as uv stimulated!

Would you recommend in general @Thorfun? Any tips on sockets - am doing a mix of touch trees, touch pure and 2x touch flex. Am hoping to wire up the touches in the bedrooms to the fan coils… that’s another challenge trying to understand how the 0-10v input works.

No complaints about the retro touch switches. But then I rarely use them! Light come on automatically when I enter those rooms.
I’ve mostly Loxone Touch Tree switches around the place for the 5 touch points as we have external blinds in most rooms and will eventually get the audio server going so they will do that. Also I use the temperature measurements the touch switches give as well.

anywhere we don’t need a touch we have single retro touches. Just for manual turning on and off if ever required.

I couldn’t justify the cost of the Touch Pures as much as I’d have liked them.

Random question.. I bought a test touch tree this week. The corner buttons don’t actually seem to depress at all - is this normal? Are they somewhat capacitive or have I got a dudd?

None of the touch buttons depress. You can literally just put your palm over the central area and it will activate the switch. Double and triple taps are a doddle too

Ah! Well that answers it! So no physical depress on touch tree either?

They do have a click feedback when you touch them so it feels more like a switch. But it’s not haptic like a phone.

Guests can find them a little awkward to use at first I’ve noticed.

The cheaper plastic Touch switches are a little cheap looking and feeling. The glass Touch Pure switches are much nicer but stupidly dear. I used them in the main areas of the house. They also have an integrated night light.

I agree. From the touch tree I’ve had I would say that the retro touch are much better quality and less than a quarter of the price.

I also used one Touch Flex for all the open plan area lights. It’s even more stupidly expensive however it makes life easier for the folk I live with. As above though for most rooms/areas it’s all controlled by the motion sensors.
