Lincolnshire Ian Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Hi When our timber frame is erected we will have an ugly galvanised post holding up the corner of the porch. We are planning to match the house brick plinth height on the post, but how can we clad the post to make it look a bit more elegant. For context the house will be white rendered with composite cladding. Thanks
JohnMo Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Images help, if you could add that would be great. Also does this steel post act as a thermal bridge?
Redbeard Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Yes, section dwgs wd be great. Could the post perhaps sit on compacfoam at btm and have a further chunk of said compacfoam at the top? If you know what 'look' you want, why not simply have the post made with the necessary 'tangs' to which to mount your cladding/expanded metal/what you will?
Lincolnshire Ian Posted August 16 Author Posted August 16 This is the post, next to the front door. The house will be 70% white render with 30% composite cladding.
