Anyone have a go to supplier for 16mm 5 core armoured cable?  Going to need about 50m I think.

Thanks

Just ring around all your local electrical factors, prices will vary depending on the person you talk to

Why 5 core?

You usually have to run a separate 16mm2 or 10mm2 PVC earth along side this size of cable, or earth locally if too far/wrong supply type to export the earth connection.

What’s it for/doing?

Advice from electrician.  It will run from meter to the "pod" that we will live in whilst building house.  Will be part of 3-phase setup.

Pod will have all the usual sockets and lights, cooker, electric shower, water heating of some form and electric UFH.

Should mean you don't need to be asking here? Why has he asked you for a cable that isn't available?

Is the pod to be metal clad (standing seam)?

Do you have a pic of the meter location, and do you know the type of supply (PME/other)?

If this is over 45-50m then you really shouldn’t be exporting the earth?

What’s your sparky got to say about this?

I will ask him.
