steveoelliott Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) Not sure whether this is the right forum for this question but hey I can ask... Had a new carpet fitted yesterday by a local company. It's got to be swapped as after the fitter left, noticed several faults with the loops slap bang in the middle. However, looking at the fitting around the edges, is this normal? In a couple of areas you can feel the gripper pins too if you push down. I'll bring it to their attention when they come out next week. Before anybody mentions that annoying join in wallpaper, that plays havoc with my OCD but nothing I can do about it now Edited 19 hours ago by steveoelliott
nod Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Looks like it just needs pressing under the skirting No big deal if it’s being replaced

That I believe is called "grinning" If so the only way to avoid that is a different carpet. It is generally something you have to consider on a stair carpet where it is being formed round the nose of a stair.
