Not seen this before !

SWMBO calls me because our grey water below sink saniflo is vibrating .

Can see it and of course feel it .

So I turn it off . So there’s no power . Turn off dishwasher / washing machine even though not in use .( to eliminate vibration from anything else )

It carry’s on vibrating ! Wft . No pumping , no noise just vibrating . Does this for nearly a minute then stops .

Been testing it - checked the drains etc all good . I know it’s got a pump in it but surely it can’t retain ‘some’ power for 60 seconds !!

It was a perpetual energy machine .

Theories welcome !!

How long did she sit on it before she got hot, sweaty and cross eyed.

Leave it plugged in and you can play with your new stereo.

Trapped Air & Internal Pressure Release

Saniflo pumps use a sealed chamber, and when water enters quickly, it can sometimes trap pockets of air or create suction effects during the pumping cycle.

After pumping finishes, water may gurgle back slightly or pressure equalizes, especially if:

The non-return valve isn’t sealing perfectly

There was air sucked into the impeller

The discharge pipe has a long vertical or winding run

As this trapped air moves or slowly releases, it can cause:

Oscillation or fluttering inside the chamber

The pump housing or pipes to vibrate subtly

Vibrations transmitted through the pipework or floor

That buzzing could continue for 30–60 seconds, especially if it’s air slowly working its way back through high or narrow pipework.
