Benpointer Posted Saturday at 13:48 Posted Saturday at 13:48 Hi there, the question is in the title really, does anyone know of a UFH design tool for MacOS other than IOS? LoopCAD seems to be Windows only. Being a devout Apple person myself I don't have any Windows PCs. Thanks!
JohnMo Posted Saturday at 13:52 Posted Saturday at 13:52 I was the same when i did ours, so ended up getting windows partition on the Mac.
Susie Posted Saturday at 17:14 Posted Saturday at 17:14 I’m in the same position I have a Macbook 2011 version with a partition running Window 7 and luckily loop cad has installed ok despite the age of everything. it does seem that loop cad is the most used software for UFH. The tutorials are good as well.
nod Posted Sunday at 07:37 Posted Sunday at 07:37 I’ve said it before Simply get a FREE quote off one of the big boys They all seem to use the same software Weve used warmup on the last to occasions
Nick Laslett Posted Sunday at 08:00 Posted Sunday at 08:00 I use VMware Fusion, but there are free alternatives like VirtualBox. M1 Macs are ARM based, so you can’t have an x86 partition like you could on Intel based Macs. You can run Windows on an M based Mac, it is just more of a challenge. One advantage of running LoopCAD in a virtual machine, is that you can reset the 30 day counter.
Benpointer Posted Sunday at 11:48 Author Posted Sunday at 11:48 Thanks all, my Macbook is an M1 chip so I think I will just take @nod's advice and get some free quotes. I've lodged requests with Warmup and Soleheat so I'll see what they come back with. Any others I should try? Thanks
