David1234 Posted Sunday at 16:46 Posted Sunday at 16:46 I’m hoping one of you will be able to help point me in the right direction - the “landscaper” replaced my decking with tiles but has left a 20cm gap between the tiles and the patio door. that gap is too big as with the step over the patio doors - it’s about 35cm step in total and it’s tricky for the wee ones the “landscaper” has suggested taking the tiles all the way to the wall or filing the gap with stones. All the way to the wall will cause damp I reckon and I see that from other threads. And the stones will be dodgy when stepped on and shift dangerously underfoot (I know there’s adhesive that can be added but I’d be forever replacing it). any other ideas? a micro drainage channel? Placed it against the wall and tile between it and the wall? The hiccup is that there’s probably not 80cm down without knocking into some of the cement around the bottom of the house wall thanks in advance
ProDave Posted Monday at 08:53 Posted Monday at 08:53 Post some pictures of the work done and the gap. Who was the "Landscaper"? 1
Andehh Posted Monday at 14:31 Posted Monday at 14:31 Install a slit drain/narrow drain, and tile either side? Bit like what we did with a semi flush patio.
