machtucker Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Hi, I would like to buy a set able timer for the hose. I already have two timers but they don’t do what I want. All I want to do is to be able to set a on time and an off time. So literally a valve with an on and off time. I can’t for the life of me find one. Can someone recommend an option? Many thanks, E

Many thanks, E I think you want an irrigation controller/timer. Something like this: https://www.waterirrigation.co.uk/hydrosure-dual-outlet-water-timer.html?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21764483469&gbraid=0AAAAADwJ71ikFu5PrtG310ZSInZ4lToPM&gclid=CjwKCAjwi-DBBhA5EiwAXOHsGUHkfWXhPFlVW-g3nBmy-gSk2gL64pksDJG4X5uN31QXBxiwYOMElBoCyNoQAvD_BwE

Yes, I already have something like that but the one I have allows a run time of 240 mins and this one looks like 120 mins. I need something that will turn on a say 7pm and turn off at 7am. Any ideas?

Well this is to feed a cat water spray repellent device so will only be used when they are detected, but obviously needs a supply of water available for it to work. Also, I believe drip irrigation is not included in a hose pipe ban as it is a very economical way of watering. Edited May 30 by machtucker
bmj1 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Not sure why you need 12 hours of watering... But there are of course controllers that are more programmable, they just cost more. We did the Rainbird RC2 and ran mains power to feed it.
Spinny Posted Saturday at 13:29 Posted Saturday at 13:29 (edited) Use something like this...? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Controller-Watering-Wireless-Compatible-Assistant/dp/B097N2F7MK/ref=asc_df_B097N2F7MK?mcid=e18a580076813c93895c8ceb0b4eb7f7&hvocijid=1854748498027220748-B097N2F7MK-&hvexpln=74&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=696285193871&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1854748498027220748&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006502&hvtargid=pla-2281435177098&psc=1&gad_source=1 If you use something with smart home type capability then you will be able to define your own on/off rules based on any criteria you wish. Super_Paulie Posted Saturday at 22:28 Posted Saturday at 22:28 Sonoff do one if you are into home automation. Think it's ZigBee so you can just create any routine or schedule you like.
