Mike Posted Sunday at 15:37 Posted Sunday at 15:37 That does look a little flimsy! It's a few years ago now, but I remember seeing timber scaffolding, looking rather more robust, in Switzerland. And, I think, in the French Alps too. I wonder who had the idea of using water pipes instead of timber, and when?
Spinny Posted Monday at 18:01 Posted Monday at 18:01 Isn't it a bit late to be taking the Christmas tree down ? or Never do Irish dancing on a scaffold. or Hey, jimmy, you sure your stress calculations say this scaffold is fine for a 15 stone man ? But more seriously how would that ever pass health and safety requirements. I thought builders were supposed to make and record a safety inspection of scaffold every week.

I am not sure it would (though there is probably not a requirement for scaffolding to be metal -I have no idea). However occasionally you'll see a scaff self-erected by a (building, not scaffold) contractor which looks, frankly, frightening.
