Any experts on Asphalt here ? Asphalt best practice

Hi all,

 

Our proposed domestic driveway buildup is:

 

• 200mm MOT Type 3
• 80mm AC10 Asphalt
• 20mm Resin Bound Gravel

 

In terms of the asphalt layer, should that be done in one 80mm layer ?

Asphalt normally around £50 a meter 

Yes 80 mil in one go

I'd compact the ground and the MOT in two layers.
