KJL Posted Wednesday at 11:37 Posted Wednesday at 11:37 Hi l,m a self builder in Cornwall please can anyone give some advice I am thinking of screeding over my first floor 22mm eggerboard structural floor with a 40 mm Anhydrite thermo screed with underfloor heating on top of SNUF super foil.( this for the low build up that I need). first question will this work ( screed man said it would) Any better ideas Could anyone recommend an underfloor heating clip that would go though and hold in the eggerboard? Thanks very much

Dunc Posted Wednesday at 12:58 Posted Wednesday at 12:58 I don't see why not. Maybe need a bit of plastic down first to stop the screed running through any gaps? Are your joists engineered to take this load? Another alternative is laying the pipes between 25mm battens and surrounding with a dry mix.
JohnMo Posted Wednesday at 13:12 Posted Wednesday at 13:12 Superfoil in that situation will add almost no insulation value. Don't you have acoustic insulation between your joists? That will provide insulation. You could could just do egg crate panels screwed down and the screed over
