I'm over on the Fylde Coast and I am keen to commence with a 3 bed semi dormer loft conversion, so I thought I would sign up in order to develop my knowledge.  Even getting a quote has been difficult, so I might as well use my time wisely whilst I try to locate a builder actually willing to provide a quote.

Word of mouth recommendation is the best way to find tradesmen if possible.

I have struggled on the word of mouth front but the architect I used for the plans provided a list of builders and only one has provided a quote after circa 5 months of chasing people.
