MikeSharp01 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 We need to lay a thin self levelling subfloor, which will then have the wood flooring on it, and I would like to finish the Plaster boarding (PB) before we do the screeding and definitely before we lay the flooring, which I want to be the very last job! I appreciate that I will need to protect the lower portion of the PB, along with doors and windows, up against which the screed will flow from splashes etc. Should I re-think and do the screed first & why?
crispy_wafer Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I suppose if you make sure your plasterboards are cut above the floor, so no danger of sucking up moisture then as you say, protect and crack on.
BotusBuild Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I guess I'm going to be cutting away the bottom edge of all the plasterboard I've installed 🙂
crispy_wafer Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Don’t worry, part of the ahem ‘fun’ going back and doing a bit of rework. It’s how we learn
