@LSB Of course, external battens are up, mouse guard is 1/2 on, cladding has been ordered - should be here in 2-3 weeks:

Blue patches are the ‘handiwork’ of the dodgy wood fibre blowers-in. This was their solution to me asking, 1/2 way through the job, whether they had thought about the gable and eaves overhangs. They obviously hadn’t looked at the drawings I sent them or even looked at the building before they started.

I have blue Tescon patches on the inside of my SmartPly Airtight panels and roof membrane where holes were made to pump the cellulose

They’re not exactly ‘colour-sympathetic’, but why is this ‘dodgy’? Is there more to this?

Well zero planning and no PPE were the first clues and then ~a dozen other things, some big, some small … probably warrants a separate thread.

As I (G) am wrinkly I’ve not a clue what a company like that actually does, in my world lighting meant BHS.

They designed our lighting layout and supplied the fittings. I started doing it myself but It proved to be complicated with the vaulted ceilings etc, and I was holding up first fix.

Slow progress here and not much free time over the summer, hence taking 2 months to reply😴 If I get help in we will run head of the cash flow and I mostly enjoy doing it myself, or at least the satisfaction of being able to say 'I did that'.

I put the garage up in August and BC are coming tomorrow to inspect the structure so the roof tiles can go on and it will be reasonably dry for the winter.

The plan with the house is to get downstairs done for Christmas then fit the bathroom while I'm off work for the Christmas 'break' We should be ready for BC sign off early in the NY and I can finish the rest of the bedrooms as time allows.
