Ianmg Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Do I need a buildover agreement over a private sewer. Recieved a letter from building control stating a buildover agreement may be required. Yet we are building over a private sewer and 8m away from where it joins the public one. The blue hatched markings is the extension. Private sewer blue line public red line
Conor Posted January 3 Posted January 3 No, by you'll want to move that sewer regardless. Just reply to BCO saying it's your sewer and provide an updated drainage plan. Your designer should have accounted for this in the application anyway. 1
Russell griffiths Posted January 3 Posted January 3 As Conner said. you won’t be building over it, you will need to move the two inspection chambers outside the new extension. then the only pipework below the extension is your direct feeds to the new chambers. so the drain runs are yours only. 1

Ianmg Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Yes inspection chambers moved and BCO accepted its our sewer so pretty straightforward in the end
