Best way

Hi all, 

 

I need to add some horizontal timber between studs on a tiled wall to fix a heavy screen. Obviously im going to be cutting into the opposite side of the wall to do this. 
any tips on the best way to do this? I’d like to get it right the first time haha.

I would look at different fixings before you destroy part of the wall.  Charlie DIYte has reviewed a few:

Dependent on the size of your screen, the bracketry and the stud centres, have you considered a surface mounted patress? This size of a lot of these modern screens and them being fixed mounted means you can often get away with this.
