Awkward boss strap leak

I sent a photo to a plumbing company …

They suggested that if it is welded almost no chance of getting it off . So , cut out a section of the main drain would be easier ….

See ! It’s becoming more and more work !

Nah not really, get all the bits lined up expecting worst case before you start.  Send the wife out to a spa for the day then crack on. You’ll be done and dusted before it’s time for bacon butties.

Yeah but first it was a bit of tiger seal.

Then it was get the boss off

Now it’s cut the (expletive deleted)er out !

Me no likey 🫤

If you plan on trying to remove the Tiger Seal of the plastic then it'll be a case of mechanical means first like a wood chisel. To soften the pu try acetone, nail polish remover, carb cleaner etc.

Well that’s it isn’t it . Start removing this and it’s a one way ticket to fun . Hence me ‘thinking’ about it a lot first …

Fair comment but angle grinder with flap disc will make short work of removing plastic IMO. ( I will be there to hold your hand, and only your hand 😳). The glue will only be around the hole surely?
