Who knows what this is and what does it do?

It's a linkage mechanism that can be lifted and placed into one of two positions.
This is sited beside the transfer levers.

I think it stops the excavator slewing

generally meant for when transporting the machine.

We've had the machine years and never used it, just wondered what it was 🙂

The change over gate on mine is for auxiliary hydraulic lines on the dipper arm for powering up a pecker or flail head etc.
