MikeSharp01
Our Titon HRV4 MVHR is waiting to be installed and I thought I would get on with sorting out the Modbus connection I think it has built in. I contacted Titon and they say they won't support the Modbus for private sales - it is for companies. I have all the technical knowhow I just need the register / bit wise designations - which I can probably reverse engineer by experiment but its high risk so I have been looking for details. There seems to be some info out there but nothing really answering my questions, anybody done it / know someone who has?
JohnMo
Have you been through all the documents they have on the website. There's a tonne of information including archive stuff. If you can find one registry, would think they wouldn't go to the effort and changing it between different models. But since tweaking down the flow rates after official commissioning, I haven't touched the MVHR except filter changes and a bit of cleaning. It doesn't boost anymore, humidity just doesn't rise enough. I would really leave it alone as you end up spending way to much time fiddling for zero real benefits. I found a mold indicator in home assistant, so set it up the other day. Almost zero chance of mold. Steady house temp, 3G glazing and MVHR set to just below passivhaus rates (based on area). I'd be pretty pissed if I bought something that all over the website shouts "Full MODBUS connectivity" as a feature... and then you can't use it. The only thread of interest I've turned up yet is https://community.home-assistant.io/t/heat-recovery-mvhr-integration-titon-beam-in-ireland-mechanical-ventilation-with-heat-recovery/454942/9 using the RS485. Different models but may have helpful links.

The manual gives the read register values but none of the control register values - other than warning you that the Modbus can alter settings the touch screen controller cannot alter so take care. It does seem a shame that no info is presented but I will keep on at it and report back anything I find. Perhaps @JohnMo is right just set it up and forget it but I did want to have a little more control.
