is this quote on dormer fair

hello

 

been quote £6500 for the below work on a dormer repair in Surrey. is it a fair quote? thank you

 

Scaffolding;

Remove and dispose fibre slate from dormer;
Remove and dispose rotting wooden fascia and plastic vents which are hanging down;
Supply and install new PVC fascia and vented soffit;
Supply and install breathable membrane on dormer and treated 25 x 50 batten;
Supply and install lead flashings to dormer cheeks;
Supply and install natural slates to dormer.

I can't comment if the quote is fair.  BUT I see no mention of insulation.

 

So I would stop and think what you want.

 

Dormers, particularly old ones are poorly built and poorly insulated.  If you are going to the trouble of replacing rotten cladding, I would first stop and think is that all you want to do, or would you rather use the opportunity to upgrade it more and make it a much better insulated space, quite possibly for little extra cost compared to just re cladding it?

How can we tell without a picture or a set of plans 

is it just 2 sq m or 200. 🤷🏻‍♂️
