Andyh747
Hi all, I've had a Rewatec Solido gravity system installed since 2016 with no issues since installation. However the system stopped operating recently and I traced the fault to the blower (Hiblow XP-60). I've replaced the pump and that is now working fine. However a second fault has been identified which is a faulty solenoid coil on the air distribution manifold. I'm in contact with the manufacturer/supplier Premier Aquatech but struggling to get a replacement solenoid coil - they've changed the system and mine is an older version. A very long shot here but does anyone have any spare solenoid coils which will fit this system? I've attached a photo of the system and the coil. Before anyone asks if I've confirmed the coil is faulty I have. I tested resistance and also swapped the coils around which confirmed the coil is not working. I could use an alternative solenoid valve assembly and bypass the manifold but would prefer to just replace the faulty coil. Thanks for any help as we're currently without an operating plant. crooksey
Isn't this just a normally/open closed solenoid coil?
Andyh747
Yes but it is specifically designed to seal onto the manifold. There's a protruding ring on the base of the coil which seats onto the manifold. I can't find a match anywhere. dpmiller
built-up heads like that are more common on hydraulics, I think. Can you get piccys of the whole manifold assy- are the 3 valve just bushed together or is it a single base? what's the thread size of the hose fitting? Andyh747
I've attached another couple of photos. One was taken while I was cleaning the manifold. If you need more let me know. It's a single base and each coil has a spring loaded valve which is normally closed to seal that port. When commanded the valve opens allowing air through the correct hose. dpmiller
trying to get hold of someone in HEB would be a direction I'd think? Don't seem to have a website tho

Andyh747
Already tried that but the company which supplies these is Premier Aquatech but they've had to go back to the parent company in Germany and it's taking ages to get any information hence my post to see if anyone had a spare lying around 🤣

Pity I have to buy the whole thing though. Only need the coil. However if it's the only option then so be it.

ProDave
What diagnostics have you done to confirm it is the solenoid coil that is faulty? It could the signal that is driving it that is not present? It could be it is energising but the thing it is activating is stuck.

I've tested the coil with a resistance meter and swapped the coils around. It's open circuit on test.
Andyh747
After a lot of effort I’ve managed to source replacement coils in the UK. A company called MJ Abbott Ltd in Wiltshire has them in stock. I’ve ordered two to keep a spare. I also ordered a replacement diffuser as the old one could do with changing. Just thought I’d update this thread in case anyone else ever comes across this issue and needs to source replacements. Thanks for the helpful comments and links provided.
