qamar
Hi everyone I have had some upvc doors installed and I have been left with some of the exterior pebbledash render being revealed on the interior part of the door recess . The plan is to bond and then skim with plaster to blend into the interior room. My question is can we simply plaster onto the pebbledash or should we remove it first. Thanks in advance . ProDave
I previously built a big side extension onto a pebbledashed 1930's house. The pebbledashed side wall became an internal wall in the extension and the plasterer just plastered over it first with bonding then a finish coat. It all worked fine.

One thing I am concerned about is any moisture being absorbed from the outside pebbledash and soaking into the interior plaster. Could that happen? Brickie
My understanding is that bonding shouldn’t be used on an exterior wall but @nod is the person to ask.
