Super_Paulie Posted October 12 Share Posted October 12 (edited) I filled in with slim PIR, then hammered in timber wedges just proud along the length. Then filled in-between with thicker PIR, foamed and screwed the board on. Insulated board underneath attached with Sika EBT. Seems to work! Miniscule in the scheme of things I'd have thought, but I kept away from going through the beam just incase. crispy_wafer Posted October 13 Author Share Posted October 13 Possibly, The steel is on the warm side of the cavity insulation and if the screws are an issue then I think the steel flanges top and bottom are probably more of an issue...
