richo106
Hi All As you might of seen from my other posts I have just had my patio done, to make my patio work and look right I have had to have a quite large of the garden built up with top soil which i want to turn back into a grass lawn. Could any one recommend some grass seed they have used in the past? Also do i need to fertilise the soil first? Can you buy pre mixed seed and fertiliser mix at all? Any advice/suggestions/information much appreciated
crispy_wafer
I usually buy paddock seed mix for the grazing in the fields from boston seeds, pretty sure they'll have an amenity mix that would suit.
Kelvin
These guys are really helpful. I used them for all sorts of stuff over the years. https://www.lawnsmith.co.uk/?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD2nA9vmYyWhQY9klZuFfGzZRCnl5&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsdHqjbOViAMVdpaDBx0KjCCaEAAYAyAAEgLDV_D_BwE
Vijay
Found these guys to be very helpful. My partner had always struggled keeping a lawn (many on her estate had the same issue). I gave them a call and they suggested their "childs playarea seed" and it worked great. https://www.bostonseeds.com/products/grass-seeds/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw8rW2BhAgEiwAoRO5rIS__AC0cR74XzLrwDOeBOnm_euMYeX_AH3OpGPBCoxukKt7Qe_pkRoCi8UQAvD_BwE
FarmerN
I bought from these guys. https://www.dlf.co.uk/amenity Which mix depends on use lawn is going to get. Can sow up to middle of October , but the sooner it's sown the better the cover over the winter months. If sown very late, it will be better if you keep off it till spring.
