James94
Thanks for the reply, I have seen this but also seen that someone with that same error changed the thermostat but never solved it. I don’t want to go about wasting money replacing bits and still having the fault, could I do some tests to see which part is faulty? regards. Temp
ChatGPT says.. Quote An E8030 error on a Bosch Series 8 oven typically indicates an issue with the appliance's electronics, often related to the communication between the control panel and other internal components. This can be caused by several factors, such as: 1. Power Supply Issues: A power surge or drop may disrupt the control panel's ability to function correctly, causing the error. 2. Control Board Failure: There may be a fault in the control board, leading to communication errors within the oven's system. 3. Connection Problems: Loose or damaged wiring connections between the control panel and the oven's internal components could trigger this error. 4. Software Glitch: Sometimes a software malfunction can lead to an error code. A reset of the oven may help resolve it. I asked if there were any specific connectors to check and it said.. Quote When dealing with an E8030 error on a Bosch Series 8 oven, the issue often lies with the communication between the control board and other internal components. If you are comfortable with checking connectors inside the oven, here are the key areas you can inspect: Specific Connectors to Check: 1. Control Panel Connections: Check the wiring harness connecting the control panel (touchscreen or button interface) to the main control board. Look for any loose connectors or damaged wires. 2. Power Supply Connectors: Ensure that the connectors leading from the power supply unit to the control board are securely connected. A loose connection here can cause intermittent issues and error codes. 3. Oven Temperature Sensor Connection: Inspect the connector for the temperature sensor (thermistor or thermostat), which communicates temperature data to the control board. If this connection is loose or faulty, it could trigger errors. 4. Relay Board Connection: Some Bosch ovens have a separate relay board that controls high-power elements like the heating elements or fans. Check that the communication between the relay board and the main control board is intact. 5. Grounding Wires: Ensure that all grounding wires are properly connected. Poor grounding can cause electrical interference and lead to communication issues. Disconnect power first though!
