Hi all,

I'm building my own breakfast bar, dining table top etc, timber is 1400x300mm and 45mm thick, can anyone recommend a good table saw, I've read good and bad reviews for most models, im looking for something mid-range as it's only diy.

Thanks in advance. 👍

I wouldn't bother with a table saw, get a plunge / track saw instead. I've a Makita cordless circular saw, very few jobs it can't do. The table saw is rarely used. Used it last week for the first time in a couple years as I had 90 fence boards to rip.

Bosch GTS 10 J. I’ve had it a few years and used it quite a bit (hobby only). Rips up to 50mm along the grain fairly easily with a sharp blade. Any thicker cuts (think it does up to 80mm) require multiple passes. Hope that helps
