TBH you can do what is necessary yourself unless you think there is something not right with the unit.

Check for any loose wires (carefully of course having isolated it), and remove any debris that may have built up at the rear of the unit e.g. leaves, feathers. Use a vacuum if necessary to remove any dust.

That's about it.

Do you need to have it done to maintain the warranty? £200 - £300 is not unusual.

 

Otherwise DIY as above, also clean any Magnaclean or Y-strainer filters etc. Inspect for leaks. Check glycol concentration if used and system pressurisation. Check condensate drain is free. Crack open the pressure relief valve.
