Happy Valley
After 18 months and two winters it's time to have the Ecodan 8.5kW serviced by a recommended engineer. Trying to a grasp of roughly what the cost is likely to be please.
BotusBuild
TBH you can do what is necessary yourself unless you think there is something not right with the unit. Check for any loose wires (carefully of course having isolated it), and remove any debris that may have built up at the rear of the unit e.g. leaves, feathers. Use a vacuum if necessary to remove any dust. That's about it.

sharpener
Do you need to have it done to maintain the warranty? £200 - £300 is not unusual. Otherwise DIY as above, also clean any Magnaclean or Y-strainer filters etc. Inspect for leaks. Check glycol concentration if used and system pressurisation. Check condensate drain is free. Crack open the pressure relief valve.
ReedRichards
I would guess £100 to £200.
Kelvin
I’d be surprised if it was £100. It was that price 8 years ago.
