Pocster Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I had this issue after 4 yrs of no issues . I tipped the unit back further as water would somehow leak out the front panel . I had one condensation outlet on the left side. Magically water appeared in the right side . Could not find any issue so did indeed install a drain each side with a dry trap on each . To date no issues .
Justin Meighan Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Thanks. I wonder why the issue started all of a sudden. It points more to something failing. Unit is dry since I emptied the heat exchange. It was full of water. Will track over the next few days and report back!
Justin Meighan Posted February 10 Posted February 10 So just an update after a week or so. Issue seems to be resolved. Leveling the machine and correctly installing the drain seems to have stopped any condensation escaping from the machine. It's bone dry the last week after drying out. 1 2

I think the app only tells you the conditions in the machine. I've made up this 'method' but here's what I did: RH - I bought a basic humidistat and most of the time I leave it in a shower/utility where we dry washing. Heat recovery - I bought an 'Air Con Performance Test Thermometer' - very basic, it has a probe and an analogue dial on the end and I've wedged it in an inlet valve. I can see the supply air temperature. I can then work out the heat recovery % = supply temp (inlet valve) - intake temp (outside temp) -------------------------------------------------------- Extract temp (I use room temp) - intake temp Or if the supply air is 5C (when it's really cold outside) I know it's pretty bad heat recovery! I've just finished re-insulating all the ducting so will monitor the situation.
