February 12, 20242 yr Hi I notice that my heat pump has Electric (Fast) Heating turned on. The instruction manually is not clear it just stats turn on if needed. Should it be off or on? Thanks
February 12, 20242 yr It will cost a small fortune to run it when it is not absolutely required to maintain your house at the target temperature, as resistive heating has a CoP of 1.

It will not let me turn it off unless I go in to factory settings and then can disable it. If I disable it what about legionnaires.

The "Electric (Fast) Heating" will be an internal electrical resistance heater within the Heat Pump. The Legionella cycle should be unaffected by disabling the "Electric (Fast) Heating".
