Selfbuildsarah Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 Hi all What type of eaves are shown on this design please? Thanks
Redbeard Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 Soffited. Was that the sort of (very short!) answer you wanted? Please give more detail if you want more.
Selfbuildsarah Posted January 18, 2024 Author Posted January 18, 2024 Thanks for your reply. I should have said are they closed, open or boxed? I understand closed are the more contemporary choice but are you saying these are boxed in?
Conor Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 (edited) Impossible to tell from the drawing. It should be detailed elsewhere. that looks like a planning drawing, rather than a construction drawing, should be detailed in a schedule or note, and a section drawing will give the dimensions and shape of the overhang etc. some snippets from ours: In the end, we went for a smaller overhang, boxed in, and rendered over. Looks the business. This is all joinery and kind of design change you can make along the way without too much drama. Edited January 18, 2024 by Conor
