Pressure dropped to zero on both hot and cold taps then came back, a bit worrying!

Hi all. I recently replaced a PRV as the old one was blocked (?). All well at first but now 2 days later we have no pressure again. Airlock? Any ideas? We have an indirect cylinder, house built 6 years ago and no problems with plumbing until now. Help appreciated. Peter F

Are we talking unvented cylinder or something else?

Has the prv got a filter upstream that is blocked?

Has you expansion vessel lost it's charge pressure, should be at 3 bar?

Is it external issue not related to the house?

Do you have a pressure gauge on the I coming supply? If you have a PRV, you should have one upstream and one downstream.

Is both hot and cold affected?

Does it vary across the day?

How are your neighbours supplies?

(My money is on a burst incoming supply pipe- on that topic, locate your meter box, flip the lid, see what the dial is doing)

Thanks for replies so far. To answer all of your queries- unvented cylinder, don’t have gauge at the moment-still on the old one (but new PRV labelled 3bar), blew into old PRV and was blocked-new one nothing, not checked with neighbours yet or expansion tank. UPDATE. Pressure now back, really weird. Fingers crossed! Maybe mains went low but something of a coincidence. Thanks again, PF
