Thorfun
afternoon. qq. we want to seal the concrete screed before putting down our engineered wood to stop/seal dust. we were thinking of just watering down some PVA. would that do the job or should a 'proper' product be used. and, if so, what do folk recommend? cheers. Conor
Ohhh can't remember when we did ours. It was at least 50/50. Maybe 25/75 water to PVA.
saveasteading
With very porous concrete it might be best to apply a wet mix first, to let it soak in and bind the top layer, then a thicker coat over it. It will give recommendations on the container.
Thorfun
cheers guys. SWMBO was doing it and Googled a 4-to-1 mix so just did that. seems to have worked.
Canski
I did this recently in my site office that may one day become my summer house. 4 :1 like you said. It worked a treat. My mates dog has been licking it off though 😆
