Solar charging , PIR, battery, Wifi (or 4G) IP66 ish Camera.

Can anyone recommend - from your own experience - a camera with the above specification please?

 

This sector is a jungle, - at first sight, cheap, but then you find they lock you into their servers with monthly costs for full functionality. I've spent hours wasting - errrr procrastinating - researching. I'd just like the thing to be as independent as possible.

Our UsoGood trail camera  is now tired and emotional - throws hissy fits on months with a R in them....

 

I don't mind a 4G sim based one if necessary, but it must be IP66+ , accept a solar charge and be night-vision capable.

No, but I am sure I could form a biased opinion based on nothing but ignorance and prejudice and axe grinding.

 

A lot will depend on what you want to capture.

A car registration and clear image of a face, say of someone getting up to mischief, is a lot harder than the body of a panther in the forest, just to prove it was there once.

Mine wouldn't connect to the internet correctly, so they are in the loft, mentally labelled a f'ing waste of money.

Reolink argus eco. Pretty flawless. Apart from me breaking the solar panel mount. Don't need any subscriptions and can upload to your own FTP server.
