ASHP and water tank location

We are locating our ASHP on the side of the house as close to the wall as we can (as per guidelines)

Its a new build and we are choosing to forgo gas and use solar with ASHP and a water tank.

The location of the tank, however, is 3 metres away from the wall on the 1st floor - is this too far?

Thank you in advance

Thank you! I was told it mattered how far it was but couldn't find anything online to back that up.

Just need to make sure the pipe sizes are per the manufacturer's guidance for the given length. Normally something like 28mm. And properly insulated.

Hi, we are looking at installing either a Vaillant Arotherm or one of the new Samsung Gen7 R290 pumps. I am aware Vaillant has pump in the unit and Samsung have an external pump that the user suppliers?  Our unvented cylinder is in the loft 2 floors up, is this going to pose a problem as we are looking to go fully open loop with no mixer or pump on the manifold.  We have underfloor on 1st floor so plan is to run same temperature throughout.  Keep it nice and simple. Just uncertain if pump has enough head to push water around ?

The heating system and cylinder are run independently via a diverter valve so the cylinder doesn't care about the heating system.

Only way to be sure is to do a head loss calculation. Our head loss to the cylinder was too big, so installed an additional pump in the return line at a fixed speed, pump starts at the same time as the diverter valve moves to cylinder heating and shuts off as the valve moves to UFH.
