Lesgrandepotato
So I've laid the kitchen out. And then laid over the plans for a mates set of granite worktops that are surplus to requirements. Its a good match but one run will need to be cut round a nib in the wall. Easy job? Specialist job? Every thing else lines up a treat!
Triassic
I've cut granite worktop in the past, if it's out of sight then I'd use an angle grinder with a diamond tipped blade. Ttheres a few videos on youtube. Might be worth a watch. Edited August 23, 2017 by Triassic
Vijay
Yep, seen them cut exactly that way and then they polished any edges using another attachment on the angle grinder
Nickfromwales
A lot of granite boys will only cut the hob out after the tops are in due to the weakness it creates if it's a continuous piece. They just grabbed a grinder with a top quality CONTINUOUS RIM diamond blade and chopped the hole out in minutes. Having a second pair of hands is best to hold a hoover so you can keep the dust down. Cut towards the internal angle so the break off point isn't at an edge.
