Hi, I live on the corner of the road and just getting my garden landscaped. Always been a bit concerned with the lack of privacy from the road side, with a young family that will be using the garden most of the time. Wanted to get some ideas on how I can add privacy. I was going to visit a CNC metal worker and get some steel screens made up to fit in between the pillars but given the space between each pier is around 3m, it might prove rather costly. Any suggestions are more than welcome. Ideally would like to add another 30cms on top of the wall.

Have attached a picture.

Thanks

Can't go much higher without planning permission / annoying your neighbours.

I'd plant a stand of fast growing trees tight against the wall. 6 l, 3m high trees will cost you about £1k, depending on species. Natives are cheapest, e.g. birch or rowan.

I'm not even sure that your walls should be that high. I thought it was 1meter fronting a highway which includes a pavement.

I think that's the case too. Maybe just work some strategically placed trees into the garden design.
