Lesgrandepotato
So we have an under the stairs WC but it has no natural light. We are about to fit the stairs and I had a little google... seems we could fit a glazed panel into the floor and give a view down onto the sink and timber shelf as a cheeky little view point whilst not showing off the main event in the room. does anyone know anything about these? Seems to be 25.5mm think so just layed in on some mastic and carpeted round.
Nickfromwales
Maybe a lightly frosted one ? Sounds like a good idea to get some natural light, if there's enough available to make it worthwhile? Nice pic of some random wood and a bowl btw ?
Lesgrandepotato
That's the sink and shelf in under stairs khazi.. that's what I want to see through the floor... just needs a good tight sight line to make it work I think. WC is on the far wall here just behind the glazed facade. Should be light enough I hope!
Nickfromwales
Ah, the rustic look . A tin of yacht varnish over that should make it look a $million and make it waterproof.
PeterW
Walk on glass is pretty easily done using laminated glass - how big a piece do you want to have..?? two sheets of 10mm laminate together will easily span 600mm according to the guy who sized up the plans for me for something similar. When I'm home I'll dig out the links to the place that priced it for me - wasn't expensive.
Lesgrandepotato
Thinking about 300/400 or so by about 900mm
Temp
There are some on ebay but I expect a DIY approach would be cheaper. Search ebay for Skylight Roof Light Clear Walk On
