cables to kitchen island

Hi Guys

I am trying to understand the received wisdom on the best way to get a double 3 pin outlet to the proposed kitchen island. 

should i get it laid under the screed when the UFH pipes go in?

When we did ours we put it in a flexible duct cut out enough pir so it finished level with top of pir and then UFH on top, hope this helps.

I used 25mm PVC conduit with swept bends. The ends are accessible under the island and under the consumer unit.

 

I installed 10mm twin and earth.  Way over kill for a couple of sockets but it can be used in future should we decide to change for an induction hob.

 

If I really needed to I could pull something else through thanks to the swept bends.

We use a 63mm duct cut into EPS below the concrete, then coming up under the island and under the consumer unit.  Has a large supply for the induction hob, another supply for sockets and additional room for a lighting run etc if needed.

The UFH will have a thermal effect on the cabling, so allow for this in calculations, a conduit/kopex/ duct makes it easy to pull cables in.
