I've got a pair of these, they didn't come with washers, but should I use a rubber washer or not?

Think they should have a rubber or fibre sealing washer. Pretty sure mine did.

    It says BSP one end, compression the other. Isn’t that the compression end? See if it goes on a comp fitting?
