Is it ok to connect a vertical soil pipe (through the floor) into a T connector on a drain pipe run or should I connect the vertical soil pipe into a rest bend, that then goes into a Y connector on the drain pipe run?

Cheers

I'd certainly go tor the rest bend option. A vertical drop into a T will have far too much potential for blocking and I don't think meet regs.

Never into an equal tee. You need to turn to horizontal first ideally, or, at the very least, have a Y branch set so the branch is at 12 o'clock and then a 45o bend into that to rectify back to vertical. The vertical drop then into that 45.

The rest bend is the best option without a doubt.

Thanks guys :) Rest bend it is then, just mean I have to move the drainage run over but it's not been laid yet (even though the digging has been done :/ )

Yes there is a special large radius rest bend that only seems to be used for the bottom of stacks.

A rest bend.

What's the difference between a rest bend and a settlement rest bend?
